The Kindle DX has again quickly been depleted from inventory at Amazon. They expect their next arrival of DX’s to be June 22. Amazon does not say that June 22 is when they will ship again, only that they will be in stock again on June 22.
To my surprise, the new version of the Amazon Kindle, the Kindle DX is showing available for shipment on today’s release date. I would have thought that the pre-orders that Amazon took for the DX would have depleted all of the initial stock.
The leather cover branded by Amazon made specifically for the Kindle 2 was a hit. The materials are high quality and the latching mechanism that holds the Kindle in place works like magic, protecting your Kindle from falling out.
So once you get the new bright and shiny Kindle DX, which is expected to start shipping on June 10!, 2009, you are definitely going to need some Dinosaur attack insurance on it. You just blew $489 getting the Kindle DX in your hands and would hate for it to become rubble in the case of a T-Rex invasion of your neighborhood.
The wait is over! The release date has been given by Amazon and the first scheduled shipments of the new Kindle DX E-Reader will be shipping out on June 10, 2009. Deliveries are on a first come first serve basis.
The newly redesigned Kindle Reader is being called the Kindle DX. Not yet available for shipment, however, you can pre-order it. This is the 3rd model of the Kindle to be released, and each upgrade has been somewhat drastic in terms of design, usability, and memory capacity.
