So you put your blood, sweat, and tears into writing your own book. Now you have to put about just as much work into getting it published. You know it will be worth it, but there are a few things you can do to make it easier for you to get your work released to the public.
The Amazon Kindle that was just released to the public seems to be on the verge of suggesting an overhaul in the complicated, red-tape lined, book industry. With the Internet becoming more and more prolific and efficient with distributing information to the masses, an electronic portable reader for books and any other form of the written word may be just what the World needs.
As a publisher, you have many relatively new services that are being offered on the Internet to make it easier to be an independent publisher and allow you to get your publications noticed. Amazon is allowing publishers to create e-books that are compatible with the Kindle format and sell them on their web site, Amazon.com.
So how to you do it?
The first step for you to do this is create an account with Amazon through their digital text platform. You can do so by clicking HERE.
Afterwards you will have access to your dashboard. There you can create your settings, upload your publication and convert it, all online. The Amazon digital text platform is amazingly simple.
You set the price of your publication, between $0.99 and $200. Amazon takes 65% and gives you 35% of the sale.
Amazon has published a How To Guide in PDF format. You can view it HERE.
